Silent Retreats

Pause, embrace the silence and journey inwards

This is a precious time to be with yourself and to communicate with your higher self. Silent Retreats serve as an opportunity to be in quiet to imbibe, so that you can hear your Inner wisdom / Intuition. They are a gift to yourself, much needed in this changing and busy world. These retreats centre around the group meditation times and there is also ample time for yourself ~ for contemplation, journaling, reading spiritual books, yoga and walks to the ocean and through forest trails.

During your silent retreat

There will be an introductory talk upon arrival where we will provide you with a retreat program and guidance on how to make the most of your silent retreat.

As the group meditation times are the mainstay of Silent Retreats, we highly recommend that you have a meditation practice to receive the most from your retreat. You may choose to learn Pure Meditative Peace in the afternoon before the retreat begins if you do not have a meditative / meditation practice already.

Retreats are open to newcomers as well as experienced meditators.

Christmas & Easter Celebration Silent Retreats ~

Mata Yoganandaji, through her Guru Paramahansa Yogananda, saw the deep beauty of these spiritual times of year as a wonderful opportunity to go deeper in your practice and make progress on your path.

Many who come say they receive blessings and clarity to go forward in life, clearing clutter in thinking and attitudes, seeing things in a new light.

There is also a special Satsanga on Easter Sunday / Christmas Day which includes spiritual talks, chanting followed by meditating together.

Silent Retreat Weekends ~

These are held regularly at the Centre in Halfmoon Bay throughout the year, with two full days from Friday to Sunday. Everyone is welcome to join a silent retreat.

Personal Silent Retreat ~

It is possible to come on a personal retreat and spend your time fully or partially in the silence. As others staying may not be in the silence at that time, we can make arrangements for silent time to be respected.
